In 2004 my dad decided to leave his computer job and pursue his dream…the desire to create the finest ice cream shop in Arlington, MA. I was always told to follow my dreams and I did as I followed my dad into the world of ice cream confectioners.

Our ice cream shop was different from others. Dad focused on using only the finest ingredients, locally sourced containing no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, and no artificial preservatives. Truly made with love. As word got out that there was an amazing ice cream shop dedicated to clean label ingredients the business flourished.

The ice cream shop became a popular spot and shortly thereafter customers would request custom ice cream treats such as ice cream cakes and ice cream pies.  Dad decided to do some research and was amazed to find the ice cream cakes sold in grocery stores were filled with “mind-boggling things” such as hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, food colorings like Red 40 and Blue 1, and a multitude of ingredients he couldn’t even pronounce. Determined to offer a better alternative, dad began creating Abilyn’s Frozen Bakery all-natural ice cream cakes and ice cream pies and offering them to local independent retailers. 

To our customer’s delight, Abilyn’s Frozen Bakery ice cream cakes were exactly what they were looking for…a decadent ice cream cake delivering great taste and Refreshingly REAL Ingredients! An ice cream cake they could feel good about serving to family and friends.

We have since expanded our ice cream offerings to include our latest line of ice cream SansWiches…a clean label and gluten free line of ice cream cookie sandwiches. Our entire line of ice cream treats is gluten-free and contain no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. We call them Refreshingly Real because they're made with 100% natural ingredients.
